Emily Hickson graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a specialization in Athletic Therapy. Her passion for sports began as a young multisport athlete who explored everything from cross-country running, to hockey until finally finding her calling in rugby. During her 5 years of study at Concordia, Emily was a member of the Women’s Rugby Team, giving her a front-line view of Athletic Therapists in action. First hand experience taught Emily the value of Athletic Therapy and inspired her to pursue helping other athletes return to play stronger and faster than before.

Emily uses a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and injury prevention strengthening exercises in order to safely and effectively return athletes and active individuals alike to their sport and activity of choice. Emily is the Head Athletic Therapist at Ashbury College; one of Performance Sports Therapy’s satellite clinics.
